(Sunday) 21. Novemb(ris) [1613]
E(ltern): Hans Sÿdler, Cathrin Kleinerin
K(ind): Fridli
Z(eugen): Fridli Häberlig, Barbel Sigeristin deß Bruders Frouw.
Note: So Barbara Sigrist is "the brother's wife" - brother of father or mother?
Note: If the father's brother, it would be a son of Johannes (born abt. 1547): I find Sidler, Niklaus, getraut mit Sigrist, Barbara … but no Niklaus as son of Johannes … did he have another son who has been missed so far? Could you check the marriage of 1608 - just in case it contains any useful information.
If the mother's brother, Barbara would be married to a Kleiner - but no suitable entry for either Sigrist, Sigerist nor Siegrist.

Translation: Barbara Sigrist, Claus Sidler's wife, gave birth to two children on 14.06.1624, one alive, the other stillborn (not sure about "tod" - but nothing else makes sense). The mother died noon the following Tuesday. 14.06.1624 was a Friday, so the mother died 18.06.1624.
Correction: 14.06.1624 was a Friday, so the mother died 18.06.1624.
I have to correct this :-(. I had used the Gregorian Calendar - however, at the time the Julian Calendar was used in reformed parishes. Consequently 14.06.1624 was a Monday - and the mother died Tuesday 15.06.1624 - same day as Margret was baptised.

Wolf:
(Tuesday) 15. Jun(ij) [1624]
E(ltern): Hans Sÿdler zu Ottenbach, Barbel Sigeristin
K(ind): Margreth, Obijt
Z(eugen): Hans Göttschi, Wÿßbuben Stupf(?) sun / Margreth, Hans Häberligs des Sigisten Thochter
So Margreth died soon after baptism (days to months).
Hans Götschi was the son of Götschi the "Wÿßbuben Stupf(?)" (nickname).
Notes: Margreth Häberlig was the daughter of Hans, the Sigrist = church sexton, not to be confused with the surname.
I have included sniptes on Geneal-Forum: would you have names/dates missing for the following marriages?
11.02.1612 Hans, oo …
04.06.1615 Rudolf, oo …
23.02.1617 Jakob, oo …
15.11.1643 Joss, oo ...
08.02.1646 Ulrich, oo ...
Just names/dates, please - no copies of the records (unless you are interested - at some later stage).
1634 Niclaus Sidler 2nd marriage to Adelheit Walder 14 Jan Ottenbach film 008014328 page 104 |
This is a tricky one - partly because 2 marriages are documented in a single sentence:
Niclous Sÿdler vnd Adelheit Walderin ouch von Ottenbach hand ire Eeen bestetten den 14.ten Jenner 1634.
... ouch von Ottenbach = auch von Ottenbach = from Ottenbach as well
Compare with #49: ... hand ir Ee bestettet = haben Ihre Ehe bestätigt = have confirmed their marriage.
... hand ire Eeen bestetten: Eeen = Ehen = (two) marriages / bestetten should likely be bestettet.
