Wendel died 5th April 1840 when his youngest daughter Jakobina was just 18. His wife Eva died 18 Jan 1870 in Graben. Wendel's death date is clearly written on the right side of his birth record but the year is incorrect.

1832 Jul 5, The German government began curtailing freedom of the press after German Democrats advocated a revolt against Austrian rule.
