Christoph Scholl 1751-1814

Christoph Scholl was born 7 December 1751 to Georg Scholl and Anna Maria Kammerer. He was their 5th child. His birth certificate has a little cross and his death date as 6 February 1814.  It was common for the Parish Priest to keep track of people in his Parish records from birth through death. This is the case here. Christoph married Margaretha Blau 8 Nov 1774 in Graben. They had 10 children. The Graben records show Christoph's death on 6 February 1814. Christoph lived 62 years 1

Pastor: The Graben Pastor from 1808 to 1814 was L. Chr. Sachs. He was born 1780 in Karlsruhe and died 1850 in Karlsruhe. His last entry in Graben was on October 13 1814. He was the man who entered Christoph into the Graben Parish record books, arranged for a place of internment and if the family was so inclined he held a funeral with scriptures and hymns. The latter cost extra. We have much to thank these dedicated Pastors for.
