Willie Ray Blocker

Willie Ray Blocker passed away December 9, 2010. Willie was born February 21, 1920 to John Elton Blocker and Bertie Lou Padgett of Donald, Georgia.
Willie married Marie Phillips June 6, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. Marie passed away December 11, 2007.
Willie spent his life serving others which brought him great joy. During his life he worked hard and had a talent of forming lasting friendships. He lovingly opened his home to those in need offering all he had and always sharing his testimony of Christ. He truly loved his fellow men.
Willie served his country in WWII, had many church callings, and served a mission with his wife Marie in the South Carolina, Columbia Mission.
He is survived by his daughters Lorinda Blocker, Loretta Demke (Jeff), and Loralee Patten (Doran). His Sons, Terry (Debi), Kelly (Debbie), Willie (Linda), Larry (Cydney), Michael (Trudy), and Nathan (Danielle). His posterity includes 55 grandchildren and a growing number of great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife Marie, son Dathanial R. Blocker (Jill Martin) and grandchildren David Blocker and Lori Martin.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 12:00 at the Heatheridge Stake Center, 450 East 2000 North in Orem Ut. Friends and family may call Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
