Wilford Gustaf Edling, 88, died Sunday, July 14, 1991 in the MacKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, of heart failure.
Born October 12, 1902 in Ogden, the son of Karl G. and Anna Gustaffsson Edling. On June 27, 1928 he married Rellia May Schade in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; she died in 1986. He had been a certified public accountant at Edling, Anawalt, Madsen & Sneed CPA's in Los Angeles. He was a member of the Huntsville 2nd Ward and Patriarch of the Huntsville Stake. He was chairman of the LDS Church finance committee, High Priest quorum instructor, and home teacher. He was the former Stake President of the Los Angeles Stake. He had lived in Los Angeles and Glendale, California prior to moving to Ogden in 1971. Survived by a son, Duane W. Edling, Norco, California; two daughters, Mrs. Blaine (Dawne) Thomsen, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Deslyn Triplett, Santa Ana, California; 15 grandchldren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Edling and Ida King, both of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 12 noon, Huntsville Stake Center. Friends may call at the Myers Mortuary in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd., Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and at the Stake Center Thursday, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Huntsville Cemetery.
