Mary Ida Dalley 1864 - 1948

Mary Ida Dalley was born in Summit, Iron County, Utah on 15 November 1864. Mary Ida was married to Sylvanus and she worked hard to care for her home and family. Her daughter often wondered how she ever managed to keep her supply of clothes ready and always have nourishing meals, besides all the other things she did.

She was friendly and hospitable, always helping others. No friend or relative ever called near mealtime that they didn’t receive a cordial invitation to share the meal with them. She died at 83 in 1948.

Mary was the daughter of James Dalley and Petrine Nielsen Bertelsen

She married Sylvanus Cyrus Hulet, 25 Apr 1883, St. George, Washinton, Utah

Mary Ida Dalley Hulet died on May 6, 1948 of chronic myocardial degeneration, 2 years. She also had bronchitis for 2 weeks. Mary Ida was 83.  

Myocardial infarction (MI) death of the cells of an area of the heart muscle (myocardium) as a result of oxygen deprivation, which in turn is caused by obstruction of the blood supply; commonly referred to as a “heart attack.”  Myocardial degeneration means degeneration of heart muscle, but is often used as a euphemism for Old Age
